A battery cycle-life rating describes performance under specified conditions and a stated remaining-capacity threshold. A claim such as 3000 or 5000 cycles is not a promise of unchanged runtime or a measurement made by this site.
Correction — October 22, 2026: Earlier versions included unsupported first-hand testing or experience claims. Those claims have been removed. This guide does not report measurements made by Wild Smart Gear.
Find the conditions behind the rating
Check the exact product, depth of discharge, charge/discharge rates, temperature and capacity retention criterion. Compare like conditions; different thresholds cannot be treated as equal warranties.
Calendar aging and cycles are different
Time and storage conditions matter even when the battery is not used frequently. Dividing a cycle rating by annual trips does not establish the product lifetime. Electronic components and warranty conditions also affect service life.
Avoid invented degradation tables
This page does not assert universal retention percentages at fixed cycle counts or guaranteed years of use. Use manufacturer documentation and identified independent test reports rather than an unattributed curve.
