Portable power station grounding is model- and operating-mode-specific. Do not add a ground rod, neutral-ground bond or improvised cable based on a generic online guide. The relevant question is what the manufacturer supports for your exact connection.

Standalone appliances and building connections differ
Powering an appliance from a supported outlet is a different arrangement from supplying a building circuit through transfer equipment. Grounding, neutral behavior and protective devices must be assessed for the complete system. Do not assume an outlet earth contact means all arrangements are supported.
Check the documentation
Find the station manual’s grounding, neutral, protective-device and operating-mode guidance. Check the connected equipment and any transfer hardware instructions as well. A charging or pass-through mode may behave differently from isolated battery operation.
Ask for a qualified compatibility assessment
For building wiring or unclear requirements, use the manufacturer and a qualified electrician. Do not modify plugs, create a neutral bond, bypass a protective device or backfeed a household outlet.
